Princess, Inc. presents #PackYourPurse Community Service Event
Oh the places we will go...when the thought of providing 600 gently used purses to homeless & at risk women in the Atlantic City & surrounding areas, filled with the essentials fit for today's woman--surprisingly turned into an out pour of love & support from the entire community!
Who knew corporate sponsors such as Tanger Outlets (Donna Danielson), AtlantiCare (Shamara Archie), Harrahs/Caesars Entertainment (Nikki Lisette Jackson) Starbucks (Atlantic City/Galloway NJ locations), Caroline "Cookie" Till, restaurateur & owner of Steve & Cookies Restaurant of Margate, the Women's Ministry group of Second Baptist Church (Rev. Collins A. Days., Pastor) and sooooo many more supporters would support in ways unimaginable!!!
Let's just say with the overwhelming response from the community, Princess, Inc. & company have exceeded their goal of 600 gently used purses, we have well over 1000 toiletries/cosmetics and enough purses to distribute throughout the streets of Atlantic City, support local agencies such as John Brooks Recovery Center, the Covenant House, the Women's Center of Linwood NJ, provide purses at every senior citizen building/complex in Atlantic City and ship at least 100 purses to Atlanta--where we plan to do this community service project again in late June as apart of our introduction to Atlanta with this new expansion. #lifeisgood

Princess, Inc. Joins Forces with ACUA for Great Cause
On April 23rd 2017 Princess, Inc. joined forces with ACUA in a fundraising effort to support the local project "Field of Dreams". The 5k Color Run duly supported the Field of Dreams project--which is a organization that supports children with disabilities through sport related activities, with a huge focus on baseball--but the day's activities also supported Earth Day activities for the community to enjoy--which included bouncy houses for the kiddies, vendors, food trucks for the foodies and so much more....take a look below at all the fun we had for a great cause!!!!!
The sun was shining, the air was brisk and Princess, Inc. with the overwhelming help from the community---family and friends and local business owners distributed more than 200 beautifully decorated bagged lunches to Atlantic City's growing homeless population. The 2nd Annual #hashtaglunchbagac community service project surpassed the goals of 2015--special thanks to: Tony Rodio of SAC O SUBS of EHT;Joanne Fumularo of Deli DeJour of Pleasantville; Mike of Vic's Subs of Absecon; Dr. Bray of Brayces; Cedar Market of Atlantic City; #loveac distributed cosmetics such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shaving cream, etc. Local activists Steve Young and the peacekeepers offered their presence in a way to keep the event safe and orderly...
It was a beautiful collaborative effort for our homeless population and we are excited about next year's event!
"College Trippin" the Tri State!
Summer 16 for Princess, Inc. ignited a lot of changes in programming!!!! The 2016-2017 "College Trippin" Series was started to intentionally focus on the needs of the Pearlfect 7 Cohort--all seniors, college bound young ladies--destined for greatness! We didn't want to hoard all the fun so we extended this great college tour opportunity to other college bound high school juniors and seniors---the response has been overwhelming!
With a record number of 15 participants in all --ranging from area high schools in the shore area of South Jersey, 7 scheduled college visits, a structured "chat group" for easy communication, weekly challenges for the girls focusing on college prep basics such as: obtaining transcripts from counselors, essay writing, applying to the colleges we visit, taking the SATs and ACT exams--this new hybrid form of mentoring allows for us to help the ladies keep important deadlines, network with one another and keep everyone informed on all organizational details---these young ladies will be more than prepared for their new college experience!!!
Princess, Inc. Partners with AC Arts Foundation for 3rd time in CHALK AC Event 2016
Here's just a small sampling of the service learning projects & impact we made last year in 2015...
AC Arts Foundation & Princess, Inc. spread cheer in local neighborhood through art!
This is the second of two partnerships and projects between the AC Arts Foundation & Princess, Inc. This specific project was focused on spreading cheer through art in local neighborhoods that have seen an increase in gun violence--the local ACFD volunteered their firehouse door fronts throughout the city to display positive works of art completed by various non profit organizations in the Atlantic City area. Fire Station #3 was a nostalgic canvas for Princess, Inc. because the founder & co-founder grew up on the famous "Westside" sect of this particular community--this is where they became friends, went to school and have so many fond childhood memories. The "Westside" will always be home!
Princess, inc. at relay for life 2016
Creating more birthdays was the theme for this year's celebration of cancer survivors and in remembering those who we've lost to this never ending battle with cancer. This year Princess, Inc. had a goal to join this national movement and create a team, raise at least $100 and actively participate in the all night festivities hosted at Stockton University---with the leadership of Community Service Coordinator, Mrs. Keva Cooke and the support from the community we surpassed our goals and had a great night for an awesome cause. Members of Princess, Inc. also participated in the Breast Cancer Walk earlier this Fall held in Ocean City New Jersey.
Princess, Inc. brings #hashtaglunchbag to atlantic city new jersey
The #hashtaglunchbag service project was started in other major cities like California and Detroit--Princess, Inc. decided to join that movement and bring it here to the shores of Atlantic City--with the rising homeless population and with the casino closings, etc. more people are hungry--and under-served--Princess, Inc. prepared 100 lunches--each bag was creatively decorated with pretty inspiring pictures and motivational quotes! We also made sure that each bag had a warm pair of socks in it!!!! Because it was such a huge success--Princess, Inc. has plans to do this project twice a year--once in the Winter and once in the late Spring.
