Why I started Princess, Inc.--In late 2010 I was in a horrible marriage and a brand new mother-emotionally & financially depleted---yet still compelled to do something impactful for the young ladies in my community. One day, while in the shower, filled with doubt, frustration & despair---crying out to God---praying for better days---it came to me---God himself said, "Indra, you're my daughter--so that makes you a "princess!" And it was in that instance---I called my very best friend, now business partner, Automne--and shared with her all the plans I had for...Princess, Inc. It saved my life!

Why I Started Princess, Inc. - For years I had found myself feeling like I wasn’t using my energy correctly. I felt like there was something more that I should’ve been doing but I just didn’t know what. For a time, the thoughts left my mind until the day Indra called me and said she had an idea. What she presented to me was exactly what I was looking for and exactly how I wanted to invest my energy. At the table on that cool spring afternoon, we made a commitment to serve our community and our girls so that they had a chance to become who they were truly meant to be. It was in that moment that Princess, Inc. the legacy was born and I haven’t looked back since…

Why I started Princess, Inc.---I believe I was born with the gift to effect change in the lives of young women. I truly believe in leading by example, laying the foundation, and creating a pathway for girls to grow into successful, confident, driven young women. I often say, “You can,” and I believe that every young woman can. I am dedicated to finding the “princess” in every girl, and have decided to devote my life to doing just that.
